And it is here in picturesque Cornwallis, hidden among the orange groves on the banks of the Hawkesbury River where you find “Cornwallis House”. A luxurious holiday home, ideal for those looking to find the perfect escape, or hold a wedding or other special occasion event.

One of the first things you’ll notice when arriving at the house is the tranquillity of the property and it’s surrounding rural farms.

You are welcome to wander through the orchard picking fruit straight from the trees (May – August), or to take a pushbike ride along the country lanes. The afternoon is the perfect time to doze in the hammock on the magnificent wraparound verandah or to take in the best views in the Hawkesbury while soaking in the Jacuzzi on the verandah.   Your group could also enjoy a bit of friendly rivalry and competition with our array of outdoor lawn games such as Giant Chess, Giant Checkers, Giant Scrabble, Giant Jengga,  Volleyball, Badminton, Bocce, Boules, Croquet, and more. 

Designed for entertaining, “Cornwallis House” is ideal for hosting a private function.  Guests will marvel at the spectacular sunsets, whilst they enjoy the space and privacy on the verandah overlooking the fragrant orange grove and tranquil river.

Cornwallis House has been purpose built to meet the needs of small groups of friends and family. Built with all the modern conveniences, such as 4 x King size bedrooms each with their own private en-suite bathroom, and all of the king beds can be split into 2 x long single twin beds if requested.
There’s also a gourmet kitchen for those who like to cook, and a large dining area and lounge room with enough tables and chairs for 8 people.
